Jet to the coast

Pembrokeshire in South-West Wales is one of our favourite places, but with Covid restrictions limiting travel over the past two years it’s been too long since we’ve paid it a visit. But recently we managed to put that right and even though it was a fleeting visit due to other commitments we did manage to spend a few hours on Newport Beach (not far from Fishguard) with the dogs.

We suspect that our aged rescue dog, Jet, had never even seen the sea before and so it was interesting to see her take on the sand and waves and it was also my first real trip out with my medium-format camera and even though we were there in the worst possible light (midday) I just had to try and get some seascapes in-between the obligatory dog photographs.

Well Jet certainly enjoyed her time and was running none-stop for the two hours we were there. This made photographing her slightly difficult in that medium format cameras aren’t really suited to fast-moving subjects – but I tried my best.

A great (if brief) day at the coast and well worth the 7-hour round trip to get there. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we return. And I’m guessing that Jet will be happy to go back as well.
