It is important as an artist (in whatever genre) to keep your motivation flowing. For me, that entails developing personal photography projects to try and stretch my knowledge and skill – and also my creativity, which is not something that I find comes easily.
This section of my website showcases a few of my current projects, which I build upon as time and enthusiasm allows. Some are very much ‘work-in-progress’ and so there may be only a few images in some (for now).
Secret Ironbridge: Here I feature photographs and descriptions of areas of the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire that, although not exactly ‘secret’ , are certainly overlooked by the tourism industry.
Day-to-night: A series of post-processing conversions of a daytime scene into a night-time one.
Painting with light: Multiple long-exposure shots lit only by torchlight, blended together to create one ethereal image.
Motorsport: For the best part of 10 years I was a motorsport photographer covering the Midlands circuits such as Silverstone, Donington Park and Oulton Park, and some smaller hill climb venues, such as Shelsley Walsh.
